How We Are Using It
We have deployed CamPod game in Cameroon, Europe and Côte d’Ivoire to engage a range of stakeholders from the Cocoa Supply Chain.
- Developed together with Cocoa Producers in Cameroon and Academics from Cameroon and Europe, CamPod was first presented at the 2024 Amsterdam Cocoa Week where we played it with a range of practitioners from industry and civil society.
- In 2024, it was then played with cocoa producers, national and governmental regulation agencies, academia and civil society at the Cocoa Soils Days in Côte d’Ivoire.
- In 2025, we used it with academics, NGOs and small chocolate manufacturers in Zürich, Switzerland.
- Later in 2025, we organised a facilitation training and a series of workshop with our partners at Wageningen University & Research. We brought together more than 40 cocoa sector stakeholders in Cameroon in game sessions in Yaoundé and the forest landscapes around Lomié. Farmers, cooperative leaders, indigenous community members, intermediaries, NGOs, and public authorities – the workshops aimed to immerse participants in the trade-offs faced by different actors in the cocoa value chain, balancing economic pressure, social inequalities, and ecological concerns, while deepening their understanding of how policies and market forces shape livelihoods and landscapes (see Story)
